Located in the northwest of Tenerife, the Chinyero Special Nature Reserve is a protected natural area known for its striking volcanic scenery and for preserving an important example of the island’s historic volcanic activity. It is home to Chinyero Mountain, the site of Tenerife’s most recent recorded volcanic eruption, which took place in 1909.
Exploring this landscape on horseback offers a peaceful and original way to connect with nature while taking in the contrasts of the volcanic terrain and the distinctive natural surroundings of this part of the island.
