Coral Hotels continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainability and the local economy by incorporating locally sourced and zero-kilometre products across its properties.

Over the past year, the hotel group has invested €400,000 in local products, supporting producers and suppliers across the islands and contributing to the economic development of the destinations in which it operates.

This commitment is complemented by the organic gardens found at some of its properties. Produce grown in these gardens is used in Coral Hotels’ own kitchens to prepare dishes and cocktails, offering guests a more responsible dining experience that is closely connected to the local environment.

Coral Hotels is also firmly committed to supporting local viticulture, working with nearby wineries and promoting wines made from native grape varieties. One of these partnerships is with Sociedad Cooperativa Bodega Cumbres de Abona, helping to showcase distinctive local varieties such as Marmajuelo, Malvasía Aromática and Moscatel.

Coral Hotels’ commitment to the circular economy is also reflected in its participation in the Comunidades Turísticas Circulares (CTC) project, promoted by Ashotel and Asaga Canarias. Coral Ocean View has been part of the initiative since its early stages, and Coral Suites & Spa joined in July 2026. Through this project, organic waste generated by the properties is collected separately and transformed into compost, which is subsequently used in the agricultural sector.

Santa Cosecha is also being developed within the framework of CTC. This future digital platform will connect hotel establishments directly with local producers, facilitating access to locally sourced products and strengthening the relationship between tourism and the primary sector.

Together with the promotion of local products, organic gardens and collaboration with producers and wineries across the islands, these initiatives form part of Coral Hotels’ Green & Smart sustainability programme, which is built around three pillars: environmental impact, community and support for the local economy.
